The engraving portrays an allegorical representation of evil. On the right, a monster with its mouth open from which personifications of vices appears. Next to the monster three skelletons, representing death. The vices are represented as female figures and death as the traditional skeletons. Two of the three skeletons have hair, which may be references to female skeletons.
