Title
Dance of Death IV, by Claesz (1562)
Description
This engraving represents a couple, a man and a woman. In the middle of these, a skeleton wearing a flower crown. It is unclear what type of crown it is, whether it is a victory or virgin crown. The skeleton is placing both its arms around the couple, in an inclusive hug, representing one death for both genders.
