Description
This engraving represents a couple (man and woman) accompanied by death, represented by a female skeleton. The skeleton's gender can be seen by the clothing (head covering) and its breasts.
Death takes the equivalent place of the hunting hawk, generic symbol of the loving conquest. And with its arm, death touches the man's shoulder, also including the woman under the hug.
